The Leanness Lifestyle finally brings together everything necessary to truly become the After rather than languishing in the Before. No stone is left unturned as the subjects of nutrition, exercise, food addiction, eating on the road or at parties and holidays, increasing focus and motivation, eating more while exercising less, why you should never give up your favorite foods, how to eliminate false starts once and for all and much much more are discussed.

The Leanness Lifestyle is responsible for providing the roadmap that has helped thousands of women and men worldwide change their bodies and lives for the better.

The Leanness Lifestyle is the most comprehensive body transformation book ever written. It is truly beyond diet--and is about the journey of transformation.

This Is How You Live a Healthy Life

This is the finest book of its kind. David Greenwalt has done a tremendous job gathering in one book virtually all the information that you would ever need to finally achieve the health and fitness that you desire, and in reality truly require. If you are tired of reading the latest fad diet book and seek to approach healthy living in a reasonably achievable and logical way, then it is time for you to purchase this book.

I recommend this text as the next evolutionary step (and perhaps revolutionary step) for those who formerly followed the Body for Life transformation programs. While Body for Life provided a regimen for achievement, in retrospect it lacked some of the long-term sustainability criteria that David Greenwalt builds into this book. The setting of explicit short, intermediate and long-term goals as well as the relative rate of progress that one should expect is perhaps one of the strong suits of this book.

The comprehensiveness of the book may in fact be about the only drawback that I can identify. In an effort to cover everything in great detail, the book may be a tad longer than may be necessary. That being said, to really get an understanding of the whys and hows, the author certainly covers all the bases.

David Greenwalt presents a very achievable methodology for someone to journey from where they are to where they need to be. He lays out the details for the absolute necessity of resistance training to be the foundation of fat loss as opposed to excessive amounts aerobic training.

I truly expect that those who read this book and apply the reasonably simple and straightforward thinking and action prescribed will achieve results that they never believed possible.

This book is great. If you want to take your health and fitness to another level, then you must purchase this book. David Greenwalt is a real person and not a steroid jock. He offers the truth to those that will listen. This is not a magic book on how to lose weight. This book will explain how your body works and what you need to do if you are ready to take action. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to change their fitness, mindset, and life.

More than a "how-to" book...

Sure Leanness Lifestyle teaches you HOW to live the rest of your life lean, strong and super-fit, and more importantly you'll tap into WHY you are driven to attain this goal and uncover WHY you can finally succeed this time even when previous attempts have failed. The mechanics of becoming lean for life are laid out beautifully in this book and when coupled with Dave Greenwalt's astounding body of knowledge from thousands of successful and lasting transformations, it becomes a book you can return to many times over to gain deeper insight into your own journey. For me it has become a book I frequently point to as pivotal in transforming both my body and my life.

One of the best purchases I've ever made...

I purchased this book in 2002. It's 2008 and I am still using it as my leanness lifestyle (i.e., healthy/exceptional living) "bible." The thing that made this book stand out for me is that it included a psychological/emotional component that many "diet" books don't touch or understand. Among many topics, the author, David Greenwalt, writes from his years of experience about food addictions, refusing to accept that your reality is within your control, and what to do when you fall down (hey, it happens to the best of us from time to time). As the cover says, "Proven strategies to sculpt your body, heal your mind and become better today."

I must admit that when I first heard of the Leanness Lifestyle, I was a bit of a skeptic myself. I mean, just read the reviews - people are writing about life changing experiences, that this is the best thing they've ever done, etc., etc., etc. If you're not sure whether you should trust these reviews, I encourage you to visit the Leanness Lifestyle website at [...]. The results (i.e., before and after pictures) speak for themselves. Furthermore, I bet that any person who posted a positive review on this site would be happy to speak/write to you about their success/experience, myself included.

I could go on about the pounds I lost (about 15 pounds kept off for over 5 years now; I'm currently 5'8" 135), the muscle I've gained, that I no longer have high blood pressure, that I'm not tired anymore, that my clothes fit comfortably, that I'm not ashamed to wear a bathing suit at the beach, that I'm not as self-conscious in dealing with others... but the most important thing is that, by living the LeannessLifestyle, I've become a better person. How? By keeping the promises I make to myself (which also includes living a more authentic life), by not eating in response to emotional difficulties, by learning how to accept help from others, and by helping those around me to become healthier (a friend of mine lost 50 pounds using the principles I learned in this book).

Getting this book was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

LIFESTYLE, not dieting!

David Greenwalt has pulled together research and married it to a practical approach to exacting a lifestyle change. This book includes the phases of change, understanding and your motivations and following through with sound nutrition and exercise principles. No one is more anti-diet than this man, and he truly cares for his readers and clients. It is a book geared for everyone, of any starting weight. It is suitable for the overweight person seeking a healthier lifestyle or the individual prepping for a competition, it is all here. As a RD, I will add that the nutrition information imparted is spot-on and very much in keeping with an approach one can follow life-long.
